The James River Regiment is a 21 year Virginia Honor Band!
As one of the most visible organizations at James River High School, The Regiment performs at all home football games and competes in four to five competitions around the state every year. This award winning group places in every competition they attend, and has received multiple Superior Ratings at the VBODA Marching Assessment.
Our spectacular show this year is ALCHEMY, a transformational experience of music and colors melding together to recreate the ancient science of converting base metals into gold. Once again, the show is composed by our very own Director, Mr. Steven Kunka, who helped us regain the esteemed ranking of Honor Band last year! We are excited to perform this year's show during JRHS home football games, for the Virginia Band & Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA) Assessment, and at five marching band competitions across the state, to include the 45th annual Parade of Champions at James Madison University in October.
